DCG Kemi Nanna Nandap has been appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the position of Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), with effect from March 1, 2024.

According to a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President, DCG Nandap succeeds Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, whose tenure ends on February 29, 2024.

Nandap was the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of the Service’s Migration Directorate prior to being named Comptroller-General.

According to information obtained by PRNigeria, Kemi Nandap was born in Zaria, Kaduna, on June 3, 1966. She is originally from Ogun State. She studied at the University of Ilorin, where she earned a biochemistry bachelor’s degree.

Her previous roles included Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG) for Zone C, Officer-in-Charge (O/C) for Investigation and Compliance, O/C for African Affairs and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and Deputy Comptroller at Nasarawa Command, among other senior positions.

She also held the position of comptroller for the Plateau Command and NIS Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos. She worked for the NIS headquarters in Abuja as well as the commands in Anambra, Ogun, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
