Born on July 19, 1991, Oluwatosin Ajibade is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and businessman better known by his stage name Mr Eazi.He is credited with creating the fusion sound known as “Banku music,” which combines Nigerian chord progressions and patterns with Ghanaian highlife. After moving to Kumasi in 2008, Mr. Eazi enrolled at KNUST and started booking musicians to play at college parties. After recording a guest verse on the song “My Life,” which gained popularity and became a hit record at KNUST, he demonstrated his interest in music. He was raised in a household of business owners.His father is a pilot, and his mother ran a small company.The latter parent started his own consulting business for private aviation. Mr. Eazi briefly participated in the school choir while he was in primary school in Lagos. He grew up listening to records that his father would play for the family while they had breakfast. In order to pursue his academic goals, Mr. Eazi moved to Ghana when he was sixteen years old. He enrolled in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology’s mechanical engineering program (KNUST). When Mr. Eazi was a student at KNUST, he began recording music.
