Nigerians respond to a viral video featuring Judy Austin advising young girls who are acting like schoolgirls’ wives to their boyfriends.
The advice Judy Austin, a Nigerian actress, gave to women during a virtual church service with Yul Edochie has angered other Nigerians.
Judy was shown criticizing women who act like wives to their schoolboys in an Instagram video.
She says that you are not in school to play “wife roles to your boyfriend,” but rather to learn more and expand your knowledge.
She also counseled women to concentrate on the main reason they are in school and to disregard material possessions.
Says she:
“As a young girl, what you need to do is go play the role of wife to another little boy who doesn’t know anything. Our girls who go to school to read and gain the knowledge that will shape your life focus on playing the girlfriend roles to your boyfriend in his flat, probably because he’s rich. They will carry you in front of Benz and then you are the madam, a student 17, 18, 19, 20, 21. No, you’re not the IT girl.
